Few American bands distinguish themselves in genres as deeply rooted in Europe as pagan and folk metal. Former fellow traveller of Arkona and Heidevolk in the United States, Helsótt is one of them. If the rattling of its riffs, the rumble of its drums and the thunder of its hoarse voice do brandish the colors of death metal, the songs of the Californians originate from influences as varied as the mythologies and events they tell us about.
