After more than twenty years of existence, the music of Himinbjorg always strikes as strong and just, as if carried by a pure vital momentum. Its compositions tackle head-on existence itself and listeners, the former guiding the latter through a quest for otherness in the heart of the past and the richness of traditions. Paradox only in appearance, this does not hinder Himinbjorg from lavishing a serenity drawn from the admiration and respect for Nature. 2018 saw the reissuing of an emblematic work by this French precursor of black pagan: Golden Age. The Cernunnos will thus have the opportunity to rediscover this album whose rage and raw spontaneity had marked the spirits upon its release.
